Australia has failed to qualify a men's team in football for the Olympic Games.

The Olyroos finished the under-23 Asian Cup - which doubles as Olympic qualifiers - with no wins and no goals scored.

They failed to make it out of the group stage, a 0-0 draw against Qatar on Monday morning (AEST) the final nail in their coffin.
