Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have found themselves in the middle of yet another controversy.
Just days after teammate Dillon Brooks was suspended for hitting an opponent in the groin during a scuffle, the NBA has probed an incident involving Morant and his entourage.
Following a game between the Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers on January 29, one which saw Morant's father, Tee, and a long-time friend, Davonte Pack, exchange words with Pacers players, there was an aggressive confrontation between members of the Pacers and Morant's entourage in the bowels of Memphis' home arena, the FedEx Forum.

According to a report from The Athletic, the verbal sparring between the two parties continued for 15-20 minutes until Morant arrived and got into one of two cars - a black SUV.
The SUV then moved towards the Pacers bus when members of the Pacers travelling party noticed a red laser being trained on players, coaches and other members from inside the car, with a Pacers security guard in the vicinity reportedly remarking, "That's 100 per cent a gun".
One person present told The Athletic that "we felt we were in grave danger", and spoke on the condition of anonymity, fearing retribution.

"While we substantiated that a postgame situation arose that was confrontational, based on interviews and other evidence gathered, we could not corroborate that any individual threatened others with a weapon," NBA spokesperson Mike Bass told The Athletic.
"Certain individuals involved in the postgame situation and a related matter during the game that night have been subsequently banned from attending games in the arena. If additional information becomes available related to the postgame situation, the league office will conduct a further review."
It is the second time this season that Morant's family members have been involved in a fiery altercation during a game.
Earlier this season, Morant's father and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe had to be separated by security following a verbal exchange when the Grizzlies took on the Los Angeles Lakers.
The two later mended fences, sharing an embrace with each other shortly after the incident.
