Manly Sea Eagles skipper Daly Cherry-Evans believes the shift away from Leichhardt will be exactly what new recruit Luke Brooks needs to breathe new life into his 205-game NRL career.
Brooks is almost certain to make his Sea Eagles debut against the Rabbitohs at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon (AEDT).
Speaking to 9News, Cherry-Evans said Brooks will have an entirely new freedom at the Sea Eagles he won't have experienced in his years at the Tigers.

"He was the main man at the Tigers – there was a lot of pressure on him," he said.
"But when he's at Manly, with the role he has to play, he doesn't have to be anything extra.
"He doesn't have to be the main man, he doesn't have to be the superhero, he literally just has to come and be Luke Brooks."

Brooks arrived at Brookvale as Cherry-Evans new halves partner, but the pair won't get a chance to test it out for real until they run out onto the field in Vegas.
But while DCE isn't expecting any miracles, given the 510 games of NRL experience between the two of them, they only need to keep calm and the rest should happen naturally.
"I think it's pretty naïve to think there might not be teething issues … but the thing we both have is experience," he said.
"(We understand) we need to keep it simple in the early rounds, but if we're combining and keeping it calm, I think over time it will build."
As well as their usual match preparation, the Sea Eagles have spent the week sight seeing and spruiking the NRL to the US.
Winger Jason Saab made an appearance on Las Vegas TV, where the presenters were left stumped by the mascot of their round one opponents.
"We sort of knew coming over here how lucky we were, so hopefully we can make it a real enjoyable experience by getting a win next week," Cherry-Evans said.
The Sea Eagles-Rabbitohs clash is the first match in the NRL's Vegas double-header, with kick off scheduled for Sunday at 1.30pm (AEDT).
