The Perth Football Club has released a sad statement confirming the death of ruckman Dakota Baldwin-Wright after a shock accident in Europe.

WAFL player Baldwin-Wright was involved in an accident with a tram in Prague while holidaying overseas after the 2023 season ended.

"Our priority over the coming weeks will be to support his family, our players and the PFC family.

"We ask that the family's privacy is respected."

WA Football Commission chairman Wayne Martin also expressed his sadness in The West Australian.

"Our thoughts at the time are with Dakota's family, friends and the Perth Football Club," he said.
