France is holding its collective breath after iconic captain Antoine Dupont was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken jaw that could potentially rule him out of a home Rugby World Cup.
The 2021 world player of the year was at his brilliant best in the 96-0 romp over Namibia on Friday (AEST) before being stopped in his tracks in a nasty head clash with rival captain Johan Deysel.
Deysel was sent off after officials decided his yellow card should be upgraded to red.

Dupont's face was like thunder as he walked off the pitch before being rushed to hospital in Marseille.
"There's a suspicion of a crack or fracture in his jaw," France coach Fabien Galthie said.
"He's gone for tests. We'll wait for the results before moving forward. We need to take advantage of this great victory and the players' fine performance."

"As an All Black man, seeing one of the world's best go off like that is tough viewing," Williams wrote.
"Let's hope he's not out for the rest of the tournament."
France were widely considered World Cup favourites after outclassing the All Blacks 27-13 in their opening match.
Les Bleus also lost Dupont's halves partner, Romain Ntamack, to injury before the tournament.
