South Sydney legend Sam Burgess has landed his first head coaching job in professional rugby league.
Burgess, 34 and originally from England, has been announced as the new Warrington Wolves coach in the Super League.
He famously played through the 2014 NRL grand final after fracturing his cheekbone in the first tackle of the game, leading the Rabbitohs to glory.

He began his playing career with Bradford in the Super League before heading Down Under to wear the famous cardinal and myrtle, and became a Bunnies icon.
The powerful forward played 182 NRL games - punctuated by a short stint playing rugby in England - highlighted by the 2014 season in which he won a premiership, a Clive Churchill Medal, was named Dally M lock of the year, and the RLIF player of the year.
He also played 26 Tests for England.
A degenerative injury forced his premature retirement in 2019 but he soon took up coaching roles with South Sydney.

Now he heads to the Wolves, who last week missed out on signing Justin Holbrook as their new head coach.
Burgess has signed a two-year deal.
"From playing in the Super League to having the opportunity to lead an incredible club, it's a full circle moment and one I am fully committed to and excited by," Burgess said in a statement.
