'Didn't look good': Dogs' concern for Addo-Carr

//

NSW winger Josh Addo-Carr is in doubt for Saturday's clash against Brisbane after coming off the field late in NSW's Origin III win on Wednesday night.

Addo-Carr was forced from the field in the 77th minute with a hamstring injury, opening the door for Clint Gutherson to make short cameo.

The Canterbury star was seen on the sidelines with his hamstring heavily strapped with ice.

He was spotted walking gingerly in the dressing room but NSW coach Fittler played down the seriousness of the injury.

Josh Addo-Carr of the Blues celebrates scoring a try with Bradman Best and James Tedesco during game three of the State of Origin series.

"I think he's good, I think he's alright," Fittler said

"I think he was looking for a rest."

However, Canterbury general manager of Phil Gould seemed concerned by the way Addo-Carr was moving around.

"Fox was iced up and limping. Didn't look good at all," Gould tweeted.

The chances of Addo-Carr lacing the boots against the Broncos on Saturday afternoon remain slim, considering a low-grade hamstring injury requires a week's recovery.

If it's a low grade strain, he could return for the club's round 21 clash with Penrith next Sunday or round 22 match up with the Dolphins the following week.

Canterbury is all but out of finals contention and would need to go on a roll and win six of their last eight games after racking up just six wins through the season to be any chance of making the eight.

Addo-Carr was one of the best performers for NSW in game three, scoring a try that was compared with Billy Slater's chip and chase Origin classic and running for 134 metres.
