Headlining GT World Challenge is four-time Great Race winner Garth Tander who will reunite with Yasser Shahin in an Audi R8 LMS.
David Reynolds, who won the 2017 Bathurst 1000, continues his campaign alongside Tony Bates in another Audi.
Two-time Supercars champion and 2020 Bathurst 1000 winner Shane van Gisbergen joins Prince Jefri Ibrahim of Johor in the Triple Eight Race Engineering-run Mercedes-AMG.
The event marks the first time that the series has ventured to Queensland Raceway in the GT World Challenge era.
In fact, it's been a decade since the series has featured at the Ipswich circuit, last visiting in 2013 under the Australian GT banner.
Since then, Queensland Raceway has undergone significant renovations that include a new pit lane, the addition of corporate facilities, and a raft of safety improvements.
This weekend's SpeedSeries event is the first high-profile meeting at Queensland Raceway since the upgrades.
Tony D'Alberto, who will do double duty between GT World Challenge and his Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, hailed circuit operator Tony Quinn for the investment in the facility.
"It's a massive credit to Tony Quinn and the passion that he's got for motorsport, obviously not only in New Zealand but here in Australia," D'Alberto told Wide World of Sports.
"Guys like that help the whole industry work. The presentation of the place now is incredible. You drive in the gates and it looks proper, and I'm sure he's got plans to make it bigger and better.
"It's just been such a massive change and shift. He doesn't muck around, he's done a great job there. This is the first big national event kicking off. Hopefully we can do it justice and put on some good racing."
Recently, Quinn was involved in a high-speed crash while competing in Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia.
That left him in hospital with several broken bones and a punctured lung.
"Hopefully Quinny can watch it wherever he is recovering," said D'Alberto.
"He's done an awesome job. Everyone should be so thankful to Quinny for investing in these permanent circuits we have around the place that probably don't get the love they need.
"Guys Like Quinny, they make it happen. We're very thankful for his passion for the sport."
