Cameron Smith has won the British Open this morning, the first Australian golfer to do so in more than 30 years.
Coming in to the last day, Smith had dropped to four behind leader Rory McIlroy, who was considered the favourite going into the final holes.
But a poorer day from McIlroy along with a top putting performance from Smith saw the Brisbane golfer surge ahead.
Smith tallied five birdies in a row between the 10th and fourth, ultimately finishing 20 under for the tournament - a record result that not even Tiger Woods has managed.
Smith was lost for words after the win.
"It is unreal to look at the names on this trophy and then add mine," he said.
"I'm definitely going to find out how many beers fit in this thing, that's for sure."
It's a historic win for Smith, being the 150th anniversary of the iconic golf tournament.
