Rallying legend Carlos Sainz and Emma Gilmour have escaped serious injury in separate rollovers during the latest round of Extreme E in Italy.
Gilmour, who hails from New Zealand, crashed out of the Island X-Prix last-chance-qualifier Crazy Race after contact with Chip Ganassi Racing's Sarah Price.
The contact sent the McLaren into a rollover. Fortunately, Gilmour walked away from the crash and was taken to the medical centre for precautionary checks.

"Unfortunately had bad contact at the start of the Crazy Race and got pushed off-line and sent into a roll.

Father of Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr, the two-time World Rally Championship winner was taken to hospital for precautionary checks, but was later cleared and released.
"Carlos Sainz Snr. from the Acciona | Sainz XE Team was involved in a collision with Rosberg X Racing in the opening moments of Extreme E's Neom Island X Prix I Final, in Sardinia this afternoon, "said Extreme E founder and CEO, Alejandro Agag.
"He received a full check up in hospital as a precaution but was cleared and released this evening. The safety of our drivers is our greatest concern. Myself, along with the whole Extreme E family wish Carlos well and we hope to see him back in action this weekend for the next X Prix."
It's a quick turnaround for Extreme E organisers, with the third round of the championship taking place at the same venue on July 9-10.
