Port Adelaide legend Kane Cornes has officially changed his tune on Jack Ginnivan, unveiling a new-look hairstyle inspired by the Collingwood young star.
Cornes at the start of the season raised eyebrows with his criticism of Ginnivan when he accused the Collingwood forward of over-celebrating a win against St Kilda.
But in the aftermath of the 19-year-old's five-goal performance against Essendon, in which he claimed the Anzac Day medal for best on ground, Cornes surprised his fellow panellists with a Ginnivan-inspired hairdo on Nine's AFL Sunday Footy Show.
"I was in make-up a little earlier, I got in here before you guys. I'm pretty dedicated and doing some research, a bit of a touch-up. I don't think it's a big deal," Cornes joked when pressed on the new look.
Cornes then conceded he has become a fan of the young Magpie.
"Let's be honest, Jack Ginnivan's got me. Jack Ginnivan has got an edge.
"I was wrong, he kicked five (goals) on Anzac Day on the big stage. There is something about this kid I like and I need an edge, so I want the edge.
"There is an edge about him and I'm on board. I love it."
Ginnivan came under fire by Cornes when he described a win against the Saints as "light work" and "the first of many".
Cornes at the time was left highly unimpressed and took the youngster to task.
"(Collingwood) finished 17th last year. You've beaten St Kilda, who no one expects will do anything this year, stop carrying on," he told Nine's AFL Sunday Footy Show earlier in the season.
"That's Jack Ginnivan, you've played six games. Just relax. Earn some respect in the game before you go on carrying on like that.
"You don't see Geelong carrying on like that. You don't see Richmond and dynasty teams carry on like that. Earn some respect before you start carrying on like that, saying it was 'light work' and 'the first of many'. There's a thing about winning in a humble way."
