Dogs star to miss game-time after ugly hit

//

Bulldogs half Lachlan Lewis is set to miss just one game for an ugly high shot on Melbourne five-eighth Cameron Munster on the weekend.

Lewis was placed on report and sin-binned after his left arm wildly clipped Munster across the chin during the second half of the Storm's 41-10 win over Canterbury.

It is expected that Lewis will take an early guilty plea for the grade two charge from the NRL judiciary and sit out one week.

Lewis was also dealt a grade one charge for another careless high tackle on Josh Addo-Carr but he escaped that incident with a $750 fine.

Munster was immediately floored by Lewis' high hit as players from both teams rushed in and a brief melee erupted.

The Storm playmaker did recover however he was on the sidelines shortly after with a suspected medial ligament injury.

"It was a grade two," Munster said after the game.

"But I had a medial with this same knee so it is probably two to three weeks. I fell awkwardly with Josh Jackson there, but that is football.

"It is obviously disappointing for myself, but I will try and make myself right for next week if not, I will try get it right for the following week.

"We are playing the Roosters next week and I wanted to test myself against Keary and Tedesco, so it is a bit disappointing."
